Grand jury indicts former Rockcastle Co. deputy
LONDON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A former Rockcastle County deputy accused of using excessive force during an arrest was indicted Thursday by a federal grand jury.
According to the indictment, on November 6, 2016, Brandon McIntosh used a dangerous weapon to assault a person he arrested, resulting in injuries.
The indictment also says McIntosh filed a false report, claiming he needed to use force because the person he arrested became combative.
The grand jury indicted McIntosh for civil rights violation by use of excessive force and filing a false report to obstruct the investigation of that assault.
If convicted, McIntosh faces a maximum 10 years on the civil rights charge and twenty years on the obstruction charge.
