Governor Bevin discusses gun violence with the president
WASHINGTON, DC (WTVQ) – Republican Governor Matt Bevin, of Kentucky, was among a group of governors at the White House Monday meeting with President Trump to discuss the recent school shootings and what can be done to prevent them in the future.
In the past, Governor Bevin has said the problem isn’t guns, but video games and movies warping the culture and encouraging violence. He repeated that sentiment Monday at the White House.
“This culture of death is becoming pervasive, and if it’s not addressed by all the imperfect people in this room, with a sense of purpose and a sense of aspiration, I think we’re going to continue to see a trajectory that’s not good,” said Bevin.
