Gov. Bevin visits MSU for launch of Aerospace Industry Consortium
MOREHEAD, Ky. (WTVQ) – Aerospace is now the largest export industry in Kentucky, and Morehead State University official say they are at the forefront.
On Wednesday, Governor Matt Bevin and Lt. Governor Jenean Hampton were at MSU’s Space Science Center for the launch of the Kentucky Aerospace Industry Consortium. While on campus, Bevin and Hampton also launched a rocket and met with students while touring the facility. Bevin says he’s proud of Morehead State’s achievements in space science.
Aerospace manufactured parts exceed eight billion dollars in Kentucky and is growing at 40 percent annually.
