Gov. Beshear will not contest altered marriage licenses

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) — According to the Liberty Counsel, Governor Steve Beshear responded to the altered marriage licenses issued by the office of Kim Davis, Rowan County Clerk, filing officially a statement declaring that the state will recognize them as valid, “unless directed to do otherwise by this Court or another court of competent jurisdiction.”
