UPDATE: ‘Golden Alert’ canceled after missing man found safe

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington Police canceled a ‘Golden Alert’ early Thursday after 53-year old Paul Sams was found safe, according to investigators.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- Lexington Police have issued a Golden Alert for a missing 53-year-old man.

Officers say Paul Sams was last seen around 8 p.m. leaving a group home at the 2000 block of Polk Lane near the intersection of Willis Drive off of Georgetown Road.

Staff members at that group home tell police Sams is Schizophrenic with a mild to moderate intellectual disability and other special needs.

Call 911 if you see Sams.
