UPDATE: ‘Golden Alert’ canceled, Lexington man found safe

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – According to the Lexington Police Department, the Golden Alert for Vernon “Lloyd” Lowery has been canceled.
He has been located and is safe.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Golden Alert was issued by Lexington Police overnight for a missing 61-year old man with dementia.
Police say Vernon “Lloyd” Lowery was last seen at his home in the 200 block of Lake Wales Drive on Thursday, July 8, 2021, around 3:00 p.m.
He’s described by police as 5’10” and 220 pounds with short salt and pepper hair, short facial hair with a recent abrasion on his forehead.
He was last seen wearing a green t-shirt, blue sweatpants, and white tennis shoes, according to police.
