UPDATE: Golden Alert canceled, missing man found safe

Update at 7:54 p.m. on February 5, 2021:

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington Police canceled a Golden Alert Friday night for a missing man after 61-year old Roderick Curd was found safe.

The alert was canceled an hour and seventeen minutes after it was issued after Curd had been missing for nearly two weeks.

Police didn’t release any other information about how or where Curd was found or where he was during the time he was missing.

 

Original story from 6:37 p.m. on February 5, 2021:

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Golden Alert was issued Friday night for a Lexington man with a mental illness who requires medication and has been missing since Jan. 23, 2021, according to Lexington Police.

Investigators say 61-year old Roderick Curd went missing from his Cypress Drive home.

Police say he was last seen wearing a short sleeve blue and black shirt, blue jeans, white FILA high top tennis shoes, a blue Polo cap and a gray jacket.

Curd is approximately 5’9″ and 195-pounds.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call 9-1-1.
