LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – God’s Pantry Food Bank in Lexington will feed more than 4,500 Fayette County families a traditional Thanksgiving Day meal this year, according to the food bank.

The food boxes will be distributed Monday, November 20 and Tuesday, November 21, 2017.

The food will be given out at Southland Christian Church at 2349 Richmond Road in Lexington.

The distribution times will be from 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. each day.

The families receiving the ‘Sharing Thanksgiving’ food boxes were referred by community organizations.  The families were chosen and notified in October.

This is the 24th year God’s Pantry Food Bank has organized this community-wide Thanksgiving grocery distribution.

God’s Pantry Food Bank purchases all of the food for this program and will continue to accept financial donations to fund the ‘Sharing Thanksgiving’ distribution.  A $40 gift sponsors a family this Thanksgiving.
