Georgetown woman wins $1 million in scratch-off game
GEORGETOWN, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Kentucky Lottery says a Georgetown woman is $1 million richer after buying a winning scratch-off ticket.
The winner, 34-year-old Jessica Ewen, says she and family members exchange Kentucky Lottery scratch-off tickets as part of their Christmas tradition.
“We all pitch in money together for the tickets,” Ewen says. “I put together a Saran wrap ball with Scratch-off tickets and other items. It’s just a lot of fun and laughs!”
Jessica ended up with a $25 Jumbo Bucks scratch-off.
She says when she found out she won, she signed the ticket and tried to stay calm throughout the holidays.
Ewen, who is expecting her fifth child and has her mother living with her, says the money will go toward purchasing a bigger home.
She is taking the $553,800 cash option.
Ewen purchased the scratch-off at Falls Creek BP in Georgetown.
