UPDATE: Georgetown Road now open after fatal pedestrian vs. semi accident

UPDATE: 5:00 PM (5/1/18)- Georgetown Road is now open.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) — Police have shut down Georgetown Road at Citation Boulevard and Iron Works Pike, following a fatal semi crash that killed a pedestrian.

Police say it happened around 4 a.m. on Georgetown Road at Spurr Road.

Police have confirmed the pedestrian hit died on scene.

According to KYTC, the road could be shut down up to four hours.
