Georgetown Police rescue newborn kittens from underneath police car

GEORGETOWN, Ky. (WTVQ) – Police officers are used to looking for suspects in some unusual places, but officers with the Georgetown Police Department on Friday didn’t expect to be looking under a police car after hearing the sound of crying kittens.

A search underneath the vehicle turned-up three newborns on a panel with the mother nowhere to be found, according to a post on the department’s Facebook page.

Officer Popovitz, Sergeant Duke and the ladies from emergency dispatch cared for the kittens until Animal Control arrived, according to the social media post.

The kittens will be fed and kept warm until they’re ready for adoption, according to the post on Facebook.
