Georgetown police say people eating at Applebee’s had a near-miss in a road rage shooting

GEORGETOWN, Ky. (WTVQ) – Georgetown Police says no one was hurt following a road rage shooting.

According to police, it happened around 8:15 p.m. Friday night on Cherry Blossom Way headed towards Connector Road.

The driver of a late 90’s model Honda, Civic or an Accord, shot at another driver in a fit of road rage, but didn’t hit them, investigators say, instead hitting the exterior of the Applebee’s where people were eating outside.

Police say a piece of the bullet ricocheted off the wall and went down the shirt of the customer sitting near by.

There were three people, according to reports, in the suspect’s car. Only descriptors are male and likely Hispanic police say.
