Georgetown Man Dies In Three Vehicle Collision

The Scott County Coroner said a Georgetown man died when the pickup truck he was driving crossed the center line on Cherry Blossom Way and collided with two other pickups Friday afternoon.

The coroner said the victim, Edward Craft, 27, of Georgetown, was born in Hazard but had been living in Georgetown.

The coroner said investigators were still trying to determine why Craft’s pickup crossed the center line.

Investigators said Craft’s pickup collided with two other pickups driven by Toyota workers who were getting off work.

The coroner said the two Toyota workers weren’t seriously hurt.

All three men were wearing seat belts, according to the coroner.

The coroner said alcohol and speed were not factors in the collision.

Toxicology results on Craft were due back in a few weeks, according to the coroner.

Engle-Bowling Funeral Home in Hazard was in charge of arrangements.
