Georgetown College president stepping down
GEORGETOWN, Ky. (WTVQ) – The president of Georgetown College says he will not be returning after the end of the 2018-19 academic year.
Dr. Michael Dwaine Greene made the announcement on Thursday.
The College’s Board of Trustees wanted Greene to extend his contract but Greene declined, saying he wants to relocate closer to family.
Greene says he plans to stay as president through commencement in May of 2019 and has offered to assist the College in coming months during the search for his successor.
