Georgetown College offers scholarship to all Owen County students

OWEN COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Georgetown College is extending its full-tuition scholarship offer to students in Owen County.

The same offer was made to Scott County students earlier in the week.

In the fall of 2020, any newly admitted, full-time, residential student who graduated from a high school in Owen County or who has been a resident in the county for at least one year will receive the Legacy and Legends Scholarship, according to the school.

Each scholarship is worth an estimated $160,000, according to the college.

The scholarships are funded by donors.

Students must get accepted into Georgetown College to use the scholarship and must live on campus for four years. In addition, students will have to pay for room and board.

Financial aid and other scholarships are available to help pay for housing.
