Gas station robbed at gunpoint

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Police investigate an armed robbery overnight at a gas station in Lexington.

It happened just before 1:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Shell gas station on West New Circle.

Police say two men came into the store with bandanas over their faces, both carrying handguns.

They demanded cash, and ran off with some money and cigars, according to police.

K9 units were called in but lost the track near the Hollow Creek Road.
