UPDATE: Harrodsburg Road reopens following gas leak
UPDATE: 8:45 P.M. Monday, May 7, 2018:
Harrodsburg Road reopened Monday night after being closed following a gas leak near Lane Allen Road.
Investigators say a woman had a medical emergency behind the wheel and crashed into a gas line. Her name and condition weren’t released.
The gas leak led to the closure of busy Harrodsburg Road between Lane Allen Road and Pasadena Drive and the precautionary evacuation of three nearby businesses; O’Charley’s, Chick-fil-A and Walgreens.
O’Charley’s and Walgreens eventually reopened, but Chick-fil-A remained closed for the rest of the evening because the restaurant did not have any hot water to operate until after its regularly scheduled closing time due to the gas leak, according to the restaurant.
