Gas explosion rocks Lincoln County, lights up the sky

MORELAND, Ky. (WTVQ) – A gas explosion in the Moreland-area of Lincoln County lit-up the night sky overnight and shook parts of the county, according to the sheriff’s office.

Investigators say people in the area were evacuated as a precaution.

New Hope Baptist Church on Highway 1194 was being used as a temporary shelter, according to the sheriff’s office.
