Garrard County Sheriff’s Daughter Killed In Crash

Deputies in central Kentucky mourn the loss of the Garrard County Sheriff’s daughter.

The wreck happened in Boyle County near North KY 33 and Old Shakertown Road around 2 in the afternoon Saturday.

Danville Police said Bobbi Nicole Wardrip of Nicholasville, who went by Nicole, lost control of her vehicle and hit a telephone pole.  She was the daughter of Garrard County Sheriff Ron Wardiff.

"A lot of us pretty much grew up with her," said Tim Davis, Garrard County Deputy Sheriff.  He said they were about five years a part in school.

"You know if you’re the sheriff’s daughter you’re well-known. That’s just the way it is, especially in a small community like this," said Davis.

She’d lived in Garrard County most of her life, but had moved to Nicholasville.  She was working as a hair dresser at Head’s Up Hair Design.

"I know Ronnie loves both his daughters and his grandkids with all his heart.  He’s hurting right now.  No parent should ever have to deal with that," said Davis.
