Furnace catches fire in London plant
LONDON, Ky. (WTVQ) – No damage reported, after a small fire is quickly put out at a London business.
Simon Mortimer, the HR Manager at Aisin Automotive Casting, LLC, reports a small fire broke out at the plant shortly after midnight on Sunday morning. He says the fires started when plastic material entered a melting furnace, which immediately caught on fire. Mortimer claims his team members, along with the Lily and London Fire Departments quickly extinguished the flames, and the plant resumed normal operations in less than an hour later.
According to Mortimer, there were no injuries or significant equipment damage due to the incident.
