Fugitive lawyer Eric C. Conn to arrive in Lexington Tuesday evening
TEGUCIAGALPA, HONDURAS (WTVQ) – In a press conference Tuesday in Lexington, the FBI announced fugitive lawyer Eric C. Conn is being extradited back to Lexington.
He is scheduled to arrive between 4:30 and 5:30 p.m.
The FBI also gave more information on the runaway attorney’s capture. Agents captured Conn in a Pizza Hut on Saturday in La Ceiba Honduras.
Conn had been listed as one of the most wanted criminals by the FBI in the United States.
He is accused of conspiracy to commit fraud, electronic fraud and false statements.
Conn escaped custody in June 2017, one month before he was supposed to be sentenced for defrauding the government of more than half a billion dollars of social security money.
He managed to get out of his ankle bracelet in Lexington.

El Heraldo is reporting that fugitive lawyer Eric Conn has been captured.
According to the paper, The Technical Agency of Criminal Investigation (ATIC) captured Conn Monday in La Ceiba, Honduras. It’s reported Conn was leaving a restaurant, located in a shopping center, when the ATIC apprehended him. They had reportedly been following him for week.
Conn had been listed as one of the most wanted criminals by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in the United States. He’s accused of conspiracy to commit fraud, electronic fraud and false statements. Conn escaped custody in June of this year, one month before he was supposed to be sentenced for defrauding the government of more than half a billion dollars of social security money. He managed to get out of his ankle bracelet in Lexington.
The Honduras public magistrate’s office says in a news release that Conn is expected to be transferred to the U.S. on Tuesday.
The FBI office in Kentucky declined to confirm Conn’s arrest; however, the bureau plans to hold a news conference in Lexington Tuesday at 1:00 pm to discuss the case.
