Fuel leak causes delays at Blue Grass Airport

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) -A private plane leaking fuel lead to the temporary closure of Lexington’s Blue Grass Airport’s main runway, according to airport officials.

They say the private aircraft began leaking fuel in the air, then when it landed it got fuel on the runway.

It all happened around 1:20 p.m.

Officials say the shutdown delayed several flights.

The runway was closed for cleanup for about an hour.
