FROST THREAT on the way tonight

LEXINGTON, Ky.  (WTVQ – ABC 36): Good Sunday evening everyone. Our chilly temperatures continue with an incoming FROST threat for the night ahead. For that reason, a FROST ADVISORY is out for the entire state of Kentucky through Monday morning as temperatures hit the low to mid 30s.

Monday afternoon will still be chilly and below average, but at least we will have plenty of sunshine with temperatures in the low 60s.

Tuesday morning won’t be quite as cold as Monday morning but will still be cold with temperatures into the low 40s.

Tuesday afternoon looks FANTASTIC with full sunshine and afternoon highs hitting the upper 60s to near 70.

Rain showers and thunder moves in late Tuesday evening. No severe weather is expected.

Scattered showers and rumbles of thunder will continue into the overnight, but we should be drying skies out by the time we all wake up on Wednesday morning outside of a stray shower in the far south and east.

Afternoon highs on Wednesday will be into the low to mid 60s with clouds clearing out as the day goes on.

Skies will be mainly clear by Wednesday night and that sets us up for one more frost threat into Thursday morning as temperatures hit the mid to upper 30s.

We start to pull out of the cool weather by Friday with 70s returning back to the forecast. But with warmer air, comes more storm chances.
