Friday’s Halloween forecast: A trick or a treat?

A trick for the morning, a treat for the afternoon

Morning temperatures have been chilly to start our Friday. Many have reached the low-mid 30s, prompting some frost in low-lying areas. This is thanks to the lack of cloud cover overnight. We’ll be warming as the sun rises with temperatures reaching the mid-50s by afternoon. Winds will pick up and we’ll be breezy, but sunny. The good news is we’ll stay dry today, with all rain chances now off to our east.

Trick-or-Treating forecast

This evening will be mild in the low 50s. Once the sun sets at 6:40 pm, temperatures will quickly drop. We can expect the low to mid-40s through the evening hours. With a slight breeze and no cloud cover to keep us warmer, you’ll want layers underneath the Halloween costume. A coat/jacket and long pants or leggings will help. You may also want a hat and gloves if you or your little one is sensitive to the cold, but if you don’t want to bother with digging them out, you could probably skip them.

A mostly dry weekend ahead

Saturday will be dry, mild, and partly cloudy. Temperatures will reach the upper-50s, and winds will be a bit breezy. Through the evening and overnight, clouds will build in along with some chances for rain. Sunday morning will be the best chance, with isolated (30%) rain chances until lunchtime. Then we’ll clear out, leaving us partly cloudy and mild in the upper-50s yet again.
