Free Friday Flicks kicks off in Jacobson Park in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- A family tradition in Lexington is kicking off its 20th season. Free Friday Flicks was held Friday night at Jacobson Park. Families enjoyed games and a petting zoo before spreading out blankets and chairs to watch Paddington.

ABC 36 is a proud sponsor of the event, which was hosted Friday night by Chief Meteorologist Jason Meyers. Free Friday Flicks are also scheduled to take place on June 5, 12, 19 and 26. And there is a rain date set for July 10.

Families are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets. They can pack a picnic dinner, or buy food from several on-site vendors. Organizers say pets are not allowed for safety reasons.
