Lexington, Ky. (WTVQ) — The Salvation Army in Lexington will be giving out Christmas Day dinner on Monday.

Meals will be served from 12 p.m. to one p.m.

Last year over 400 meals were served, and all members of the community are invited to eat this year as well.

The meal consists of ham and all of the trimmings.

Meals will be served by more than 100 volunteers at the salvation army.

Major Asit George with the salvation army said in a press release, “There is nothing like a hot meal, served by warm hearts, on a cold winter’s day.”

“The Christmas community meal at the Salvation Army attended by people from all walks of life simply to enjoy togetherness is a sight to behold. With Christmas carols playing, kind Lexingtonian serving, and the hungry feeding, we can but thank you for your generosity, today and through the year. Your gifts, your legacy, your kindness matters! God bless you.”
