Franklin County Temporarily Suspends Recycling Service

Franklin County residents are being asked to hold their recyclables until their regular service during the week of December 1, due to storm damage at the Lexington Recycling Center, which Franklin County uses as its facility.

Extra recycling will be collected if the items are placed in a clear plastic bag and stacked on top of the recycling carts, according to the county.

A roof was damaged at the Lexington Recycling Center on Monday during high winds.

The temporary suspension applies to Franklin County residents only.

Trash pickup will continue on its regular schedule, according to the county.
