Franklin County students offered full-ride to Georgetown College
FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Georgetown College is extending its full-tuition scholarship to one more Kentucky county.
Franklin County joins the list of those eligible to receive the “Legacies and Legends” scholarship.
The scholarship covers the full cost of four years of tuition for any student admitted to the college who graduated from a high school in Franklin County.
Students must live on campus for the four years and will have to pay for room and board, but the college says financial aid and other scholarships are available to help pay for housing.
The college says the scholarship will be handed out every year for the next ten years and each one is worth about $160,000.
The scholarship has already been offered to students in Scott, Owen and Casey counties.
