UPDATE: Elderly man dies after being hit by concrete truck

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ)- Frankfort Police say the pedestrian killed in an accident early Friday was an elderly man with dementia who was walking in the road.
Franklin County Coroner Will Harrod identified the victim as 72-year-old Abraham R. Padilla.
He was struck by a concrete truck whose driver did not see the man in the dark.
Police said they do not anticipate any charges.
The accident happened between 4 and 4:30 a.m.
Harrod said an autopsy was performed Friday morning. From a preliminary postmortem examination at the scene, Harrod said it appears the man “sustained blunt force trauma resulting in his death.”
The incident is continuing to be investigated by the Frankfort Police Department and the Franklin County Coroners Office, Harrod said.

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) – Frankfort Police are investigating after a pedestrian was killed in a crash early Friday morning.
According to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, it happened at about 4:30 a.m. on southbound US 421 between US 460 and Schenkel Lane.
The southbound lanes were closed for about three hours for investigation and reopened at about 7:45 a.m.
