Four Students Injured in School Bus Accident

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WTVQ) – Four students were injured in a school bus accident in Warren County Wednesday afternoon, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators say there were 18 students onboard the bus that was driven by 49-year old Donna Spear, of Bowling Green.

Deputies say Spear was headed south on Fuqua Road when she tried to turn and failed to yield the right of way to a vehicle driven by 77-year old James Alford, of Rockfield.

Investigators say Spear backed the school bus into Alford’s truck, which was headed south on Fuqua Road.

Deputies say four students were taken by private vehicle to an area hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The other students were transferred to another bus and taken home, according to deputies.
