Four men arrested in copper wiring theft

WEST LIBERTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – State Police say tips helped them arrest and charge four men in connection to a copper wiring theft in Morgan County.

Investigators say more than $50,000 worth of copper wiring was stolen from the Hinkle hot mix plant in West Liberty.

State Police say 47-year old Kenneth Mullins, 44-year old Ricky Salyer, both of Salyersville, 39-year old Frank Seagraves, of Olive Hill and 19-year old Richie Gilliam, of West Liberty, were arrested and charged in the case.

All four suspects were lodged in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Johnson County.

In addition to the tips from people in surrounding communities, State Police in Morehead received assistance in the case from Troopers from the Pikeville Post and the West Liberty Police Department.

The case remains under investigation.
