Fort Knox selected for new Army headquarters

WASHINGTON, D.C. (WTVQ) – Fort Knox has been selected to be the home of the new U.S. Army corps headquarters.

According to the Army, Fort Knox will be the fourth corps headquarters located activated and will be called Fifth Corps (V Corps).

The new headquarters will bring an estimated 635 additional soldiers to Kentucky.

The Army plans to activate V Corps Headquarters by the fall of 2020.
