Fort Bragg boot display to honor fallen service members

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (AP) — Boots on the ground next month at Fort Bragg will honor the nation’s 7,500 service members who have died since the 9/11 terror attacks.

The Fayetteville Observer ( ) reports the display planned May 16 will have thousands of boots, each with a tag with the picture of a fallen warrior.

The display is being organized by Survivor Outreach Services and Fisher House and will be on display during Fort Bragg’s 5k family run.

Similar displays have been mounted at Fort Hood, Texas, and Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
