Former KSU football player acquitted of murder charge

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A former Kentucky State University football player was acquitted of murder in Fayette Circuit Court, according to the Lexington Herald-Leader.

The newspaper reports that 23-year old Dynell A. Stewart II, was found not guilty of murder, assault and wanton endangerment on Monday after a week long trial.  The newspaper reports that Stewart was initially charged in the January 2013 shooting death of 23-year old Allen M. Smith of Lexington. 

Reports say Jordan Orgeman was also shot, but survived.  Reports say the two men were shot while riding in a vehicle on Bolivar Avenue.
