Former Jessamine County daycare worker charged with child abuse

JESSAMINE COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Authorities say a former Nicholasville daycare worker was caught on camera abusing a child.

Court documents say Juanita Stacy was working at Kids Connection daycare when she pulled and squeezed a young boy’s hand and arm, causing pain and bruising on his left ring finger and middle finger. Documents go on to say she picked up the child by the arm and was seen on video swinging him for several feet.

The child complained of pain several hours later and was taken to the doctor, who ordered x-rays, according to documents.

The incident happened on July 30. A warrant was issued for Stacy’s arrest on September 23.
