Former Fayette & Woodford Co. teacher pleads guilty to raping student

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- A former teacher in Fayette and Woodford counties says she’s guilty of rape and sodomy involving a student younger than 16 years old.

The Woodford County Circuit Court says 28-year-old Lindsey Jarvis pleaded guilty to the charges Wednesday.

Jarvis was accused of having sex with a 15-year-old boy.

She was a social studies teacher in Woodford County, and later an instructional assistant in Fayette County.

The recommended sentence is 18 months.

Jarvis will be formally sentenced on December 5.
