Former Detention Center Employee Arrested

MANCHESTER, Ky. (WTVQ Web Desk) – Manchester police arrested former Clay County Detention Center employee David Hobbs on theft charges following an investigation.  Jail employees noticed discrepancies in the commisary account in excess of $20,000 dollars.  Investigators were able to track the missing funds back to Hobbs, who was formerly the deputy jailer responsible for purchasing and transporting goods to the detention center.

He was arrested without incident and lodged in the Jackson County Detention Center.
