Former attorney for Bath County sentenced on drugs charges

BATH COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A former attorney for Bath County is sentenced to 10 years on drug trafficking charges.

A judge handed down the sentence against has Donald “Champ” Maze on Monday.

Maze must serve at least one year and be on probation for five years, according to the Bath County Circuit Court.

Maze was indicted by a grand jury last year on multiple counts of drug trafficking.

Maze has served time before.

He pleaded guilty in 2007 to vote buying and served 21 months in federal prison.
