Food collection underway to help feed Kentucky’s hungry
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Businesses, organizations and individuals are being asked to begin collecting non-perishable food, toiletries and money now as part of ‘Power up the Pantry’ to help feed the hungry in Eastern Kentucky.
An all-day food drive is scheduled for August 26, 2021.
Drop-off donations at:
-ARH Medical Mall, off Black Gold Boulevard in Hazard
-Central Park, at the end of Chuck Woolery Boulevard in Ashland
-Appalachian Wireless Arena, on Main Street in Pikeville
-Big Sandy Community & Technical College, in the front of campus in Prestonsburg
The drop-off hours are 8:00 a.m.-6:30 p.m.
Donations benefit God’s Pantry Food Bank and Facing Hunger Food Bank community agencies.
‘Power up the Pantry’ is sponsored by Kentucky Power.
