Flash flood watch extended for Whitley County

WHITLEY COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – The National Weather Service in Jackson, Ky has extended a Flash Flood Watch for Whitley County.

According to the weather service recent heavy rains may lead to failure of a dam in the Little Spruce Creek drainage along Corinth Road southwest of Woodbine.

Cities within the affected area include Corbin and Williamburg. If the dam were to completely fail, flash flooding is expected for up to a couple of miles downstream of the dam.
