Five People Arrested On Meth Charges Outside London

The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office said it arrested five people Tuesday afternoon on drug charges.

Deputies said it was the result of a drug investigation at East Pittsburg Church Road, just north of London.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, Flora Westfelt, 24, East Bernstadt, had two children in the car with her and was reportedly rolling a marijuana cigarette when she was arrested.

Westfelt was charged with possession of controlled substance, possession of marijuana and wanton endangerment.

The two children were placed with family members, deputies said.

Elvis Proffitt, 37, East Bernstadt, was charged with possession of methamphetamine and marijuana.

Juanita Elkins, 36, London, was facing the same charges.

Lawrence Stevens, 52, London, was charged with drug trafficking.

Investigators said he was found with crystal methamphetamine and two sets of digital scales.

The fifth person arrested was Roger Isom, 31, London.

He was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Deputies said Isom ran into a mobile home when he saw officers arrive.

They said Isom was found with crystal methamphetamine.
