Five Keeneland Sales Graduates Entered in Belmont

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Some of Keeneland’s thoroughbreds were entered for Saturday’s 147th running of the $1 million Belmont (G1), claiming five of the eight spots.

Officials say Keeneland sales graduates have won 19 runnings of the Kentucky Derby (G1) and 21 runnings of the Preakness (G2). Keeneland also says they have sold 18 Belmont winners, most recently, 2013’s winner: Palace Malice.

Keeneland’s Amy Owens says the horses that will be running are as follows:

Frammento (Midshipman-Ginger Bay)
Keen Ice (Curlin-Medomak)  
Madefromlucky (Lookin At Lucky-Home From Oz)
Materiality (Afleet Alex-Wildwood Flower)
Tale of Verve (Tale of Ekati-Verve)

Approximate post time for the 1 and 1/2-mile race for 3-year-olds is 6:50 p.m. ET at Belmont Park.
