First Vineyard, A Historic Bluegrass Winery and Venue
NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ)- First Vineyard, a winery and event venue located in Nicholasville, Kentucky, is a robust representation of history in the Bluegrass. Established in 1799 as the first commercial winery in the United States, First Vineyard offers a unique wine tasting experience that is rich with the history of the Bluegrass. Owners Bobby and Tom work tirelessly to create an atmosphere that delivers not only fine wine, but exceptional customer service.
What should you expect from your first visit to First Vineyard? “Amazing wine,” according to Bobby. There’s a wine for everyone, including sweet, dry, red, white, fruit or even frozen peach wine slushies.
Events such as weddings, bridal parties, craft sessions and shows are also commonly hosted by First Vineyard. A pavilion with air conditioning, heating, a full kitchen and a dance floor is available. So, rain or shine, your event can go on!
Guests can also stay overnight at First Vineyard in the Sugar Creek Resort Bed & Breakfast. Several bedroom options are available.
Upcoming events include Dinner and A Show with Daniel Boone on October 6th and an annual Christmas in the Country show on December 29th.
The winery is open Friday-Sunday 1 p.m. – 7 p.m. Lodging is available April-December.
