“First ever” for Safety City teaches kids about danger
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- Safety City hosted its first Summer Safety Fair on Red Mile Place.
It’s all about giving kids information that could help save their lives in emergency and dangerous situations. Safety City reopened last year through a partnership with EKU and the Lexington Police Department. Organizers say the Summer Safety Fair is an opportunity for everyone to enjoy the venue.
Parents and students also learned about water safety and the signs of silent drowning at the event.
