Fireworks prohibited in National Forest lands
WINCHESTER, Ky. (WTVQ) – Daniel Boone National Forest officials are reminding guests that fireworks are strictly off-limits within the National Forest lands. Possession, discharging, using any type of firework or pyrotechnic device is banned.
“The use of fireworks was never permitted in developed recreation areas, but our policy now extends the ban on fireworks to the general forest area.”
They would also like to remind visitors that campfires must be attended at all times, including grills or stone ringed campfires.
These policies are to both protect campers and minimize the risk of an uncontrolled wildfire.
