Fireworks rescheduled across Central Kentucky

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Severe weather has caused several cancellations and postponements of Independence Day observations.  Here is a list:

  • Paris officials have announced that Monday’s fireworks display has been postponed. The fireworks will now happen next Saturday at 9:30 p.m.
  • Fireworks that were scheduled for July 4th at the Lincoln Co. Fair have been postponed until Friday evening. Fair officials say the fireworks will go off at 10:00 p.m. on Friday.  All other fair activities will continue as scheduled.
  • The 4th of July Veterans Parade and Festivities on the Green in Lawrenceburg, Anderson Co., has been cancelled for today due to weather conditions, according to a release from the city clerk. The Independence Day fireworks display has been postponed to Saturday, July 9th.
  • The Versailles Police Department is reporting that tonight’s Independence Day festivities have been cancelled and the fireworks display has been postponed. Police say fireworks will go on Tuesday night at the County Park.  Gates will open at 6:00 p.m.
  • Franklin County Sheriff said the fireworks at Capital View Park has been postponed until Tuesday night at dusk.
