Firefighters use ‘Jaws of Life’ in North Broadway collision

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A two-vehicle collision required firefighters to cut into one car to get a passenger out.

According to Lexington Police, a call came in at 5:02 p.m. of an accident at the corner of North Broadway and Broadway Park, one block down from 12th Street.

One vehicle was inbound on North Broadway, while the other was turning left onto Broadway Park when they collided.

Three people were involved in the accident. One who was in the red Toyota was cut out by the Lexington Fire Department using the ‘Jaws of Life.’

No one was seriously injured and no one was taken from the scene by ambulance.

The scene is being cleared now and traffic is no longer affected.
