Firefighters save house following outbuilding fire in Mt. Vernon

MOUNT VERNON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Mount Vernon firefighters kept an outbuilding fire from spreading to a nearby house on Abway Street.

Thanks to a quick response from the fire department, the fire was quickly contained, according to firefighters.  No homes or other buildings were damaged.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
