Two men fall five stories after scaffolding collapses in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington firefighters rescued two men left dangling from their safety equipment after a five-story fall when the scaffolding they were on collapsed in the middle, according to Lexington Police.

It happened at the Chase Bank building near the corner of East Main Street and Martin Luther King, Jr Boulevard around 8:30 p.m., according to police.

When rescue crews arrived they say they saw the two men hanging from their safety rigging.

Police immediately closed down a section of Main Street and MLK as firefighters rescued the two men, who were not hurt.
