Firefighters reading children’s books to help others
RICHMOND, Ky. (WTVQ) – Heroes come in many shapes and sizes. And it’s not always the stereotypical heroic act that makes someone a hero.
Richmond firefighters are demonstrating that.
This week, they started reading some of their favorite children’s books on Facebook so other kids can enjoy what their kids enjoy at their own homes.
“What’s better than storytime? Storytime with a firefighter. Some of our firefighters have chosen stories they read at home to their children and they would like to share them with you in your home. So sit back and meet the firefighters that keep our community safe while they share with you a story from our home, the fire station,” the department said in introducing the new service.
